jonwinn
I am currently working on an F-8H from USS Shangri La's 1970 cruise. It looks like they carried 1 Aim 9 per side and did not use the Y pylon for 2 missiles per fuselage rack. Would this be correct for the Vietnam conflict? jon
picknpluck
Are you talking about VF-111? All the pics I've seen from that era have the single rail on each side.
Jonathan_Lotton
The majority of the time Crusaders only carried a single missile per side. The Y pylon was very draggy.
jonwinn
Thanks, and yes I was referring to VF-111 Sundowners. jon
Finn
Of course you could always go with 1 and 2: Jari
