Hajo L.
Apparently it´s out now: https://www.72news.eu/2019/07/hobby-boss-douglas-4e-sky-hawk-released.html The sprue with the bombs is the same that came with the HB A-7 Corsairs. Bombs are too small for MK-82s, but you have Fuse Extenders. HAJO
picknpluck
And Fujimi still looks to be the go-to Scooter in 1/72 given HB's omission of the leading edge slats.
Thorsten Wieking
26,50€.... thanks but no thanks. Especially given HobbyBoss track record for error free kits 😉 Cheers Thorsten
Hajo L.
Well, of course the Fujimi is better, but hard to get these days! HAJO
Thorsten Wieking
I assume that its a temporary thing, in the past the Fujimi A-4 was generally available on eBay. .... okay, I checked my inventory.... that was 12-15 years ago. 😉 Thorsten
JackMan
Just out of curiosity, how difficult is it to get the old ESCI Skyhawks (1/72 scale)?
Mizar
Italeri has one Esci kit bundled with their Tomcat, I think it's the basic version with no drop tanks and weapons as the past Aggressor boxing From time to time a Ebay seller from UK was dumping its A-4G collection at lower prices and the A-4G comes with weapon and drop tank sprues Trade groups I'm not sure, on Facebook I'm kinda in all italian trading groups but I barely spot Esci kits being sold, foreign groups for me seems to be a get out of here stalker Luigi
JackMan
I'm surprised that it's difficult to get ESCI kits in Italy, given that it is an Italian brand. It's a pity because ESCI was the next best option to Fujimi, despite not having separate slats and raised panel lines in the wings but recessed ones on the fuselage. To me, the recessed lines on the fuselage were on par with the Fujimi ones. Hasegawa would make a killing if only they'd downsize their awesome 1/48 Skyhawks. Going back to the Hobbyboss kit, I take it not many will be getting it? Given the price and odd-shaped ordnance. Edited August 1, 2019 by JackMan
thegoodsgt
I wouldn’t way the ESCI kit is that difficult to find. There are four on eBay at the moment and see that 11 have been sold there over the last month or so. I’m skipping the HB Skyhawk. The Fujimi kits are gems.
