marcopreto
Here are the first photos of the model presently at the workbench. It is another minute Israeli F-16, this time a C model of Tayeset 101. Some details were lost after puttying and sanding some problematic areas - I tried to replace them to the best of my abilities. To build the blisters at the vertical stabilizer base I've used some brass rod and machined it to shape. And it is now ready for some paint I hope to post some progress soon. marcopreto
A quick update: The cockpit got a bit of paint and the canopy was glued after masking it. The air intake and the landing gear were masked with panzerputty. After painting the exhaust nozzle and the radar radome (masked with masking tape), it was ready for some the camouflage. Here's a photo of the fuselage grey. I hope to post more soon. Cheers Marco Preto http://mpminiatures.wordpress.com
ChernayaAkula
Wow! That's really nice work! The seat and IP coaming look really good.
marcopreto
The camouflage was basically completed this weekend. The sand color was applied first. Then, the different areas of the camouflage were marked with a pencil. The colors were applied (first the green, then the earth). The overspray was cleaned up as best as I could, airbrushing very close to the models surface, first with the green color and lastly with the sand color. After removing all the masks, this was the result. There are a few touch-ups to be made, but I'm basically done with airbrushing on this one! I hope to post more soon. Hammerhead11
This is great, especially considering how small it is. Well done so far.
marcopreto
Just a quick update! Decals applied and almost ready for some weathering. Cheers Marco Preto http://mpminiatures.wordpress.com
Aigore
Nicely painted, I don't think you can get finer borders with free hand only way is to mask. Really cool build!
marcopreto
It is almost completed, but I still need to add some details and weather it a bit more. I hope to share the finished model soon. Cheers Marco Preto http://mpminiatures.wordpress.com
ChernayaAkula
Very nice! I particularly like the way the panel lines came out on the top side. Visible, but not too visible. What colours did you use for the camouflage?
marcopreto
The colours used were Mr. Color : C310 (earth), C313 (sand), C308 (lower fuselage grey), C307 (antena's grey) and a mix of C314+C312 (10:1) for the pale green. It was finally completed! Cheers Marco Preto http://mpminiatures.wordpress.com
