CD48161 - 1/48 NASA F-104 Starfighters

Recommended Posts

CD48161 will be a 1/48 sheet for NASA Starfighters, covering the older and newer F-104 schemes; with markings for aircrafts 011/012/013; 818, 820, 825 and 826.

Coming in early November, profiles coming soon.

That should be a good seller Kursad. Anytime I can do something different I jump on it.

Thanks for looking at doing a 1/72 scale sheet. Any chance of adding one of the civilian Starfighters from sheet 48062 if space permits ?

Regards

Robert

Just a reminder that this sheet is one of the four exciting 1/48 scale releases coming in November  (and a 1/72 version due in December)

Are these designed to fit a specific kit? Or will they fit on both the Hasegawa and Kinetic F-104 kits?

They will fit either kit - this is why I could not provide a precise cutout shape for the wings and had to design something that works for both kits; with some minor painting. You may also notice that I provided ample lengths of the central dark blue stripe and gold stripes to help fix things if something goes wrong.

I haven't tried it, but it will most likely fit the Monogram or Revell kits as well. There have been some variations in these markings over the years, so there are enough NASA badges looking both ways so you can replicate these.
