Hi Bruno,

I think I had posted about your awesome Soyuz TMA-21 Launch pad that time, after you won 1st prize in Telford (2015)top2.gif

Unfortunately, this LVM kit was nearly the last big cry from Leon van Munster's team, thereafter they disappeared, never to be seen again, eek.gif after they had completely overreached with their LUT Project and had burned all the money of the backers, so also my 600 €,  damn it!!! up043952.gif

Was the launch pad and the equipment that went on it all LVM items? My goodness, LVM did some beautiful PE!

And New Ware's Resin looks excellent as well!

On the plaque, you have dates ... what does that refer to?

Manfred, your investment must have stung a little bit ... and did you, as a backer, not get any prior notice about LVM's demise?

Bruno, this is flawless ... I'm glad the judges were open minded enough to make a Real Space model Best of Show! It's gor-r-rgeous!

Thanx for showing it to us here!

Pete

I've extensivevely reported about this LUT project in my Thread Apollo Saturn LUT by LVM Studios 2015, after LVM 2015 started working on it.
And you, Pete, already had reservations then, like others, if that would be successful. hmmm.gif

Who wants, can read it again there.

While the former Kickstarter site still exists, one can now find the following message under their former LVM website ...

€ 14,271 of the 26 Backers have dissolved in nothing but smoke and mirrors ... up037692.gif  Forget it!!!

Thanks Pete for the kind words.

NewWare items: the complete Soyuz launcher

LVM items: the launch pad, including resin base. Excellent PË indeed: very well designed and easy to handle: a real pleasure.

Preiser items: half scratched workers

Scratch: wooden base, all piping around the two service towers, decals (safety circle on base, stars on left tower lever brace), air conditioning unit, hoses and extra platform on right service tower, light bulbs on upper level of both towers, numerous electrical boxes around base and on some platforms, about six metres of electrical wire on towers and arms.

The dates of the brass plate refer to the TMA-21 mission which took place by the 50th anniversary of Gagarin historic flight, hence the portrait of the cosmonaut "painted" (in fact a NW decal) on Soyuz white shroud. Also Gagarin name in red on the shroud.

Awesome work.  Makes me want to take a hammer to mine.  😉

Why? I'd seen your work some days ago and it is really stunning and very inspiring!

Ironically, two years ago I bought the same Soyuz trailer kit, which is at circa 1:150 scale and have planned to use it to entirely redesign a true 1:144 scale resin+PE model, including the TEM2 diesel loco and service vehicle. This will use another NewWare rocket, of course.

This should be done around 2022-2023 and I'll do a separate companion dio showing Soyuz flight MS-03 in November of 2016 being transported to the launch pad.

When building my kit I originally wanted the two towers jointed around the launcher like yours but I finally opted for semi-open state to make the colorful Soyuz more visible.
