Sweeet! Love the decals 🙂

Thanks very much guys. I got the decals sealed in yesterday so, now it's time to weather up her paint job.

Got all the parts flat-coated yesterday, next up the weathering process. Slowly getting there. Thanks to everyone who is staying interested in these builds.

I started the weathering process yesterday. Things are looking pretty good so far but, still much more to do but, she's getting there.

Good start. The Shadows got just as spotted/nasty as our Vikings in the boat.

Wishing all the dad's out there a Happy Father's Day.

I spent some time last night "dirtying up" the Shadow and her parts. Happy with the look so far but, there is more to do. It's always nice to unmask the canopy and see no issues. Thanks to everyone who is following along.

Wrapped up the paintwork, for the most part, on the Shadow yesterday. I'm told these jets were heavily tasked and often very weathered. I have several pics, saved on my computer, that I used as references for my paintwork.

At this point I can start hand painting some of the small details and, getting the landing gear and doors on. Thanks for looking and, enjoy the pics.

Hardly wait to see her standing.

What stand is she sitting on in the photos?

Thanks very much.

The wooden stand is made by JHModels and I purchased it from UMM-USA. The acrylic stand is made by Flightpose, www.flightpose.com.

Thanks AFM, glad you like her.

Managed to get the Shadow on her gear finally. I also painted some of the details, still some left to do and, got the wings wrapped up. I'm very happy with how she's looking so far.

Thanks for looking and, enjoy the pics.

Well well well, what have we here? That looks amazing, very meticulous weathering...makes my Viking look sloppy in comparison 😛

Really lovely care to details that brings it all to life!

Light Gull Gray rear canopies.

Tracy

Thanks Tracy, it's still on the "to do" list, just too hot and humid to paint in the garage currently.

Greeting's all,

Brief update for today. With the much cooler temps and less humid conditions, I managed to get the panels behind the cockpit painted on the Shadow. I still need to paint the sensor operator's observation windows ( just aft of the jets numbers ) on both jets. They both are slowly getting there and I'm happy with how they are coming along.

Thanks for having a look.

AFM

Thanks very much AFM.

After looking at my reference pics I'm probably gonna spray a flat coat over those rear canopies. Since my jets are fairly weathered, I'd suspect those canopies would be pretty dull from the elements as well.
