Alternatively, buy a set of Eduard GBU-38s, flatten the very tip of the DSU-33, drill a small hole, fill with clear...whammo, you’ve got a GBU-38.

Ahh, I figured they were similar enough that there would be a hack.  Thanks for the tip

Exactly the same from a modelers perspective minus the front.  Remember to paint the seeker section black vice off-white for the -38

Sorry, but making a GBU-54 from a GBU-38 is a lot more involved than changing the nose of the DSU-33. The GBU-54 has a conduit running the length of the bomb on the bottom, as well as three steel bands which secure it to the warhead.

Copy that.  Thanks Dave

Doh!  Yep, you’re right. Still possible to modify the Eduard -38s.

Just waiting for Eduard to come out with them, they've done everything else it seems.

They are too busy for such things. Why they should make such unnecessary resins like GBU-54 or GBU-31, if they are busy to make new versions of PEs for Tamiya F-16, or ejection seats for F-14D AMK, or another important bombs with-no-name for Vietnam era.
Be reasonable. 🙂
