F-16 First Gen Have Glass help

Recommended Posts

I’m gearing up for a what-if Elgin Test F-16XL and want to do it in the early Have Gen color scheme, not the darker grey type that has recently started being applied to the F-16. Below are some pics of what I’m thinking. Is this similar to a F-22 type of finish, or something different? Tips on how to  best replicate in 1/48 would be most welcome.

Anyone have any details on this:

Cheers and thanks all.

I would try a thinned mix of the standard base colors with some gun metal or steel added.  Basically a metallic grey blend is what I see.  As the layers build you could darken the panel line areas with  smoke, black or dark greys as usual.  Looks like something to be done in stages slowly over time to build up layers.  Also, ammo oil pens have various metallic colors, might be useful too.
