Right, a slight sign of life 😄

Corona hasn´t got to me yet 😛 (knock on wood) Tho I´m home we two children with sligh colds and sniffles..but nowdays it´s enough to be put in quarantine 😕

well I´m using my time....it´s not like I don´t have anything to do....

On to the build...

The resuklt after the first sanding session left me still with traces of 3D printing and distinct bulges where the plasticard is placed.

IMG_4686_zpswfs4g4q1.jpg

IMG_4687_zpsdtvspgdl.jpg

So on with more putty!

IMG_4688_zpsr4jt4tkx.jpg

IMG_4689_zpsjvnjuamv.jpg

And after the second round of sanding it looks like this. The green stuff fills the indentation from sanding the seam to hard.

IMG_4690_zpsgazlxevm.jpg

Put on the tail fin to do something else before the dreaded rescribing.

IMG_4691_zpsx5tmw0hv.jpg

Rescribing...has to be done but I loathe it!

IMG_4692_zpsm6urxsef.jpg

IMG_4693_zpsociw5hn1.jpg

Then I prepped for bettering the cockpit colors around the tub.

IMG_4694_zpswteysljm.jpg

LIke so...

IMG_4695_zps01xiujjp.jpg

Then I glued in the IP and seat.

IMG_4696_zpshky3lfko.jpg

Next is adding the sights and then mask the canopy and windscreen before painting and primer 😄

Cheers!

I'm loving this build. The more I watch it the more I want to start mine. I think I should wait till yours is mostly done though, so I know where all the tips and problem areas are. So, Keep it coming :thumbsup2:

My family is fine,and your?

Here we are in lockdown for all the no-essential job.

I left  home only 3 or 4 time, at non more than 200m of distance, just for some fresh air....

But at least I continued my modelling work!

We're fine, our youngest have a cold but that kept her sister from school and me from work as well... been hone since Tuesday last week and it looks like we'll be spending next week at home too. We only leave home for groceries and a bit of air now and then and we kick out the kids for bike rides once a day.

Time for an update....

It´s small but picture intensive 😛

First I set out to mask the canopy and windcsreen....

The inside...

IMG_4697_zpswq7zi14y.jpg

The window seals...

IMG_4698_zps28koaxrn.jpg

And added the sights....tho I later had to reposition it to allow for the windscreen.

IMG_4699_zpsvmb9ctjy.jpg

Added some stuff to the windscreen frame..

IMG_4700_zpsx5msxzkv.jpg

Then I shot pink sealer...
IMG_4701_zpszbbzawss.jpg

And interior color...
IMG_4702_zpsmyozgnkd.jpg

Masked for the top colors.

IMG_4703_zpszozf09er.jpg

The tape took off a wee bit of the frame color when I unmasked the inside but I´ll live with that.

IMG_4704_zpsa1mp1ppm.jpg

Glued the windscreen in place.

IMG_4705_zpsumj5i36u.jpg

And glued on the canopy temporarely

Added resin gun barrels...

IMG_4707_zpsdtgsibrg.jpg

put the gunpack in place.

IMG_4708_zpsa3idyta1.jpg

Next it is time to replace the static dischargers with neat turned brass ones from Master.

IMG_4709_zpstlezbcfk.jpg

Neat, eh?

IMG_4710_zpsomkyhqvl.jpg

Then I cut a corner, literally...was removing the plastic discharger and trimmed off the corner of the rudder 😕

IMG_4711_zpsgkfpqzbf.jpg

Glued on a piece of plasticard and trimmed it to fit.

IMG_4713_zpsn9zpmcct.jpg

Then I added the rest of the fiddley stuff.

IMG_4714_zpswitg79vg.jpg

SWOOOSH! starting to look the piece...Now I´ll take a break since I´m getting all flimsy 😛

IMG_4715_zpstgisyii5.jpg

Cheers!

Looking good. Interesting, your work area looks almost as cluttered as mine. Makes me feel good knowing that I'm not the only one with stuff all over the place.

Thanx Mayor 😄

I'm hopeless, I have two big work tables...almost 4m of table space. But I still end up using a space less than 10 x 10cm because of clutter 😛

One of the axioms of any work space. Clutter will expand to fill all available space. This is regardless of how much space you have. :hmmm:

Here we go again...soon time for primer 😄

Added the speedbrakes in closed position.

IMG_4716_zpsxzttgq2s.jpg

And som PE to the nose...not too much since I´ll be polishing there after priming.

IMG_4717_zps0qk48oby.jpg

Added the static dischargers to the wing tips....I´ve bent them trice already 😛

IMG_4718_zpsgp1z6z2z.jpg

Went ahead and lost the rearward antennae....but found it again amazingly.

IMG_4719_zpsqitikuyo.jpg

And the positioning lights...

IMG_4720_zpssszxwgpp.jpg

Well then nothing to do but to mask for priming.

IMG_4721_zps7rinrkbx.jpg

IMG_4722_zpswkoro3nz.jpg

wsell on with the primer and a quick polish with 2000 grit sanding pads....looks alrigt 😄

IMG_4723_zps2nkiyx9f.jpg

IMG_4724_zpshi5xoook.jpg

A wee bit of bettering on the surgey seam and I think I saw some middle seam show through too. on the whole I´m happy with it 😄

IMG_4725_zpsqrgsdvm9.jpg

Cheers!

I'm surprised that you add these so early. The only time I ever did that I broke or bent almost all of them. Now I wait till the very end.

Anyway, looking good.

Yea, I saw those. They look like fun and very cool. I posted my question here before your warhammer post. I'm having Mig-23 build withdraw symptoms.
