New 72nd Super Frelon!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

It seems that Clear Prop has a 72nd scale Super Frelon listed as a Future Release over on Scalemates.  YES!, IF it's not a re-pop of the Mach 2 kit, (even though I might buy one just to have a decent, clear canopy and maybe a little cockpit/interior detail!).

Here's hoping this is a decent, new kit.  And if so, how about a French Lynx Mk.4 and corrected Bo-105 PAH-1A1 both with the right antennas, weps, cockpits, etc.?

Always dreaming,

Well I saw that and happy. I have the very old Heller 1/35th kit and it is a whopper. Even though I build 1/48th I am happy as even in 1.72nd it will be a decent size.

A Super Frelon in 1/72 would be pretty impressive, if their UH-2A is anything to go by!

I saw pictures of the Frelon-kit (all CAD), that showed a lot of PE-parts and detail. It certainly is NOT the old Mach2-kit.

You can see the aforementioned CAD here. It looks amazing.

I too once had the big Heller kit. I remember we went to the LHS five minutes before closing, I was panicking over what I wanted, I selected the Super Frelon. I was maybe 12. What resulted was not a build worth posting here 🤣

Well,

Those CAD views look VERY nice, though I' m no fan of photo-etch!  I'll buy one (because then I will have one hundred and ONE UN-built kits in my stash!).
