K5054NZ
Hi team, I'm planning a future P-40K-5 build to feature an exposed/cowls-off engine and I've learned the subject aircraft had a -73 engine. So the question is: which 1/48 V-1710 is the best choice to represent this variant/sub-model? Scalemates lists nine options, are any of those suitable or is anything more accurate out there? Failing that, what's the closest to a -73? Thanks in advance! 8-) Edited February 1, 2020 by K5054NZ
SinisterVampire319
Comparison of engines. Says the -73 similar to -39. https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/216037-allison-v-1710-engine-tests/
K5054NZ
Thanks for that, @SinisterVampire319. I've been advised the -73 is also known as the -F, which is what the CMK part represents. So problem solved! If anyone has one going spare and is feeling generous please let me know!

ChesshireCat
The Allison V1710 is owned by Rolls Royce today. The have a nice mesuem, and I bet you could get them to email you a photo or diagram just for asking. Gary
Slartibartfast
Zac is correct, the P-40K used the V-1710-73 (F4R). F4 rotating to the right (clockwise as seen from cockpit) to differentiate the left-hand rotation models used in the P-38.
