Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
My friends and colleagues, It is with a sad heart that I was informed early this morning of the passing of my dear friend of 20 years, USS Arizona Survivor Donald Stratton. Don was a "miracle survivor," sustaining 3rd degree burns 60-70% of his body in the explosion and ensuing fires aboard the Arizona. He was one of the most humble and gentle-hearted heroes I have ever known. Now there are only two survivors from the USS Arizona remaining among us. Photo July 2019 at his home.
