ChesshireCat
beware of two or three table buyers, so be there very early. Show is nice, but have not bothered to go the last couple years because of the vendor situation. gary
Thorp
Dear ChesshireCat, Please note that IPMS Roscoe Turner has recently implemented a policy that states our vendors are to refrain from selling off to "table buyers" until 11:00AM so that the general public has an opportunity to shop their wares. Since I only go for the swap meet the bulk-buyers COMPLETELY kill the show, and I will not return. I do see from a Sellers standpoint how this would be a jackpot, not blind to that. The last two times I went (twenty minutes north of me) I was greatly disappointed with the vendor room. Prices were over the top (close to the local Hobby Town). Empty tables everywhere. Yet I paid the gate fee for nothing. Then the following Monday a club member brags about all these kits he picked up Friday night before the show when they were allowed to pick over the lot. Between that and the Turk; I have stayed home the last two years, and went a hundred minutes south to the next big show. Both seem unethical to me, yet I used to spend about two hundred a trip.
