Well...never mind I guess. Did ARC change to where you can't post hotlinks to forums (from like Post Image) from a pic hosting site?

Yep, in the last update which is a pain. You need to post the page URL rather that any suggested BB links from the site, same deal with Flickr.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I posted on the main forum and got the info there as well. Seems to work out now.

Nice!   I bought this sheet with the hopes of doing up 568 in the blue/cloud white scheme.   Would love to know what recipe you are using for kits that you are cobbling together.  Looks like you are starting with Hasegawa's early F-16A kit.

Yes, the early Hasegawa F-16A (Thunderbirds boxing), and an Otaki/Entex F-16. The Otaki kit has the closest resemblance of the prototype nose out there. I cut both kits at the panel line just forward of the cockpit. Filled and sanded away the Hasegawa gun port, and used the Otaki gun port part, bringing it forward. Reduced the length of the intake by a 1/4 inch (1/8 from the aft end of the intake, 1/8 from the fuselage fwd of the MLG wheel well). Lots of work left to do, shaping the nose and forward fuselage particularly...lots of Miliput in my future.

Andy and Don, I know you guys are excited about building a 1/48 YF-16 prototype,  but can we keep this thread for completed builds? Perhaps you could post your photos and comments on the Caracal Early F-16 thread [if still extant] or start a new thread on the "In Progress " Forum. K/r,  Dutch

I started one for you Dutch.  If you are going to be a self appointed forum moderator, at least follow through...

Both are very nicely rendered builds using your excellent decals, Kusad. It always feels good when you can help someone else achieve their goals.  While you may not be the proud father of either kit, perhaps a proud "uncle?"

These are photos of my KC-10 Extender using Caracal decals. If someone can figure out how I can post these as actual photos rather than a link (like I can and do on Britmodeller), I would be very grateful.

Very nice Jabba.   I'm posting a link to your Britmodeller article so we don't have to click on each link to see the pics.

The main thing is getting the fuselage together as it is split into two pieces. The other main issue is the nose U/C which is fitted when joining the fuselage together. It looks very feeble and can be easily knocked off (which I did). Just remembered the under fuselage U/C element had to be adjusted as it was way to short to touch the ground with along with the other U/C elements.

Mark, really nice build. I am sure the retired MSgt will love the kit. I really enjoy building for  others now. Is this the Airfix DC-9 kit? K/r,  Dutch

Thanks everyone.

@DutchYes, I went with the Airfix kit.
