A few years ago, I built the then-new Revell 1/72 scale C-54D Skymaster for review in FineScale Modeler. I did it up in the kit decals, but this week I decided to "refinish" the model using Caracals decals. With my new camera and lighting system and limited (and old) Photoshop Elements, I can't keep the insignia red "conspicuity" markings from looking orange, so forgive me if they look that way. I used a good solid red "red" on the model, not orange. This depicts a Skymaster from the early 1950s. Enjoy!

Revell C5A Galaxy.  I was "Kursing" as I applied the walkway stripes . . . .  The decal film is probably around around 1/32" wide.  VERY delicate, but I persevered and over the course of a week, decaled the model.

I was a C-5A loadmaster in the 22nd Military Airlift Squadron from 1975-1980. I've got time in that tail and in that paint scheme...my favorite of the "Big Jet"

schemes! Great job! Oh...and nothing like the howl of those old TF-39 engines either!

Cheers...Ron

Sure no show winner, Model by Testors was badly warped with massive fit issues. But the Caracal decals went on great.

Here's a couple pictures of my Academy 1/144 B-1B using Caracal decals. The decal sheet represented this aircraft from when it appeared at the Avalon airshow back in 2009. But instead I chose to depict it from 2014, since I liked the faded and stained look it had from that time period. Huge thanks to Mr Dutch for selling me a set of decals he had, since I was unable to source any myself.

And another model I had recently finished using Caracal decals. This time its Mengs 1/72 F-106A. I chose on this one to change the aircraft serial number to another just to have something unique.

Wow! Joel, you did a superb job on the B-1B kit.  Love the weathered look. I am happy to have sold you the decals now, seeing how well she turned out!  Again, Wow!  Love the Six, too!  Kind regards, Dutch
