KursadA
Another great KC-10! I wish they bring back this scheme on a heritage KC-46 one of these days.

Spruemeister
Was the KC-10 scheme kind of a Douglas creation, or Air Force? I suppose it doesn’t matter much now that it’s all Boeing. Rick L.

Rick L. That's a great question. I was on the Ten from 1985-2005 and saw all the scheme changes but never heard where the original came from. I will research. BTW, the last Ten was delivered in 1988 and McD did not merge with Boeing until 1997; none us ever considered it a "Boeing" airplane.

Curt
This is the answer I received from one of the initial cadre pilots. “It was a combination of DAC/AF. CMSGT Greg Oveson was responsible for the flag on the tail and the stripes on the side.” 5 hours ago, Da SWO said: The original paint scheme was a McDD creation. The next two schemes were AF driven. AD-4N
Whoever designed the delivery scheme for the KC-10 deserves the thanks of a grateful nation. The best looking operational paint scheme ever. Not withstanding the Loewy scheme on AF1.
Spruemeister
Thanks for looking into it. Such a nice scheme but I don’t know how I’d feel about it on a Pegasus. Rick L.
Curt
I agree. I'm going the JASDF KC-767 route.

Hooker169
That’s a great looking build, Chris! I admire guys who can pull off those cheat lines flawlessly like this. I always seem to struggle with mine.
