USNChief
I have some WWII French Aircraft that I need help with colors (interior and exterior). They are old kits and some don't list specific colors, especially interior. Never built a French aircraft before so any assistance is appreciated. Patrick Patrick, Thank you for the reply. Do you have a suggested interior color? Lauren
VG 33
Usually dark blue grey but sometimes in the fighters in dark blue. Patrick
Sowar
On french military airplanes, interior surface of cockpit was blue grey (pale to dark shade) until december 39. Morane use "gris marin clair" (light blue grey) and Breguet, Potez, Latecoère & Dewoitine "gris bleu" aft dec 39, "bleu de nuit" (midnight blue) replace the blue grey. The wheel well, oleo struts, inner side of ldg fairings of airplane, single or twin engine, receive a coat of same color as underside. Inner side of engine cowling was same as underside(Breguet 691/693) Interior of fuselage(except cockpit) and wings and other area unexposed to corrosion agents will be coated with "chamois" paint except Br 691 which was it interior entirely blue grey.
