1/35 Kitty Hawk MH-60L "Super 63"

Recommended Posts

Slowly I'm chugging along!

So tonight I decided to build up and paint the exhausts for the MH-60L. I first painted the rear half Vallejo Model Air 77713 and the front half Vallejo Model Air 77703. For the burnt area in the middle, I used Tamiya Weathering Set D "Burnt Red".
I've never used the sets before and man do I love them for weathering.

A little work on the rotor head swashplate tonight before I leave for vacation.

The stripes were .5mm decals from Interdecal. I got mine off of Ebay. They look the part if you ask me. Still the black and yellow to be done.

Can someone tell me why the pic didn't show up?

That's the way I've always done it using Flickr.

Just copy and paste the BBcode.

I can't find the URL on Flickr using an android phone. Any help???

BB Code no longer works on the new version of the forum.  You have to use direct link.  Starts with https: and ends with .jpg. No more [img] before and after.

Looks good Tim. A club member had a built 61 at our meeting this week for the crew member to be delivered by tomorrow on the anniversary.

I was supposed to be part of that group delivering Super 63, buuuut Thank you Corona!!!!

The hub of the MH/HH-60's are color coded red, blue, yellow and black, so when I found some decal stripes that matched the colors perfect, I thought it would give the hub and head a "WOW" factor.
If you go this route, you better have tons of patience.
All the decals went on great,  except for the PC rod and silver tracking label at the top of the rod. THEY WERE AN ABSOLUTE PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!!!!!!!
Just some paint touch ups and final gloss and flat coat and I'll be glad to call this done!
