KursadA
CD48181 will be a 1/48 scale sheet for the UH-1N, mostly comprised of colorful, older schemes from USAF, USN, USMC etc.
Drifterdon
Alright! Cool news. Would love to see one of the USAF ARRS birds in their hi-viz paint scheme. Something like '775' in the second photo... https://www.helis.com/database/modelorg/USAF-Twin-Huey/photos

Its from the pathfinders at malstrom in Great Falls, Mt. Just a hop, skip and 4 hrs from where I live. I love building MT birds. Plus I have 3 of these to build so what ever is on there I will be buying this sheet. Dustin Edited March 31, 2020 by Dustin
Rod D
UH1N / HH1N NAS Lemoore. Engine Gray. Rod. http://nabe3saviation.web.fc2.com/images8/aHun-04.jpg http://www.yellowairplane.com/Exhibits/Gordon_Doody/Gordon_Doody_Helo_Jumpers.jpg And, some photos from the movie "The Towering Inferno". I read somewhere this was a fictional paint scheme, with the white belly and tail. The tail has a US Air Force "Rescue" black and gold band (can be verified in the crisp BluRay of the movie. http://impdb.org/images/f/fc/Inferno5.jpg http://impdb.org/images/8/89/Inferno6.jpg http://impdb.org/images/1/1b/Inferno7.jpg Edited April 10, 2022 by Rod D

That scheme has already been covered by another manufacturer, well without the tiger logo. However there is an anniversary scheme for the CH-135 Edited April 1, 2020 by skyhawk174
Scooby
I worked on the Twin, we had it in 408 in UN colors (White). We called that particular airframe Mary Hartman - Mary Hartman - due to the serial being 135135. She was fondly loved by all those who worked on her in various squadron, the name followed her. I’d like to see the Tiger Head decal done, as well as some CAF camo versions with the squadron tail logos.
f5guy
I'd like to see the NAS Fallon rescue bird in 72nd scale of course! Thankfully Kursad is really good about scaling his 48th sheets down 😃 Fred K.

KursadA
Folks, I received many questions asking if the sheet will include markings for the Andrews-based USAF 1st Helicopter Squadron. The answer is "definitely yes". The sheet includes markings for 69-6663, one of the UH-1Ns assigned to the unit. Edited June 5, 2020 by KursadA
Dustin
Uh oh I get the sneaky suspicion I going to need to order my uh-1n's 3 is not going to be enough lol.

I would like to add at least one of them : the markings are very simple but figuring out the camouflage scheme is proving a bit difficult - we'll see how it goes. KursadA
Just found out that the camouflage scheme is actually documented in the T.O. 1.1.4, so we will definitely have a 20th SOS "Leopard" Huey on the sheet.
KursadA
A selection USAF options from this sheet - coming in the next couple of months or so.

Hi @Rod D - just ran across your post today, is there any chance you have photos of the dark sea blue scheme you could share? My understanding was that the only single-color scheme worn by USN helos since the 60's is the "engine gray" scheme (FS16081). I've seen a few Seasprite models painted (and some kit instructions calling for) various blue shades, but from photos and the relevant color standards I always thought this was a misinterpretation of the engine gray scheme due to odd lighting and/or poor color reproduction. Rod D
Sorry, I just saw this now. This is the one I was talking about. Also, in Squadron/Signal UH1 In Color by Wayne Mutza, a dark sea blue UH1N is shown and captioned. https://www.aviationphotocompany.com/p934046062/h63bf2591#h63bf2591 I agree that many kits call out for the color navy blue when it should be engine gray. Fujimi US Navy helicopters are typical of this. The most glaring error I have ever seen is the Italieri UH1N with markings frm the USS Tarawa. The instructions call for a green color. Sadly, one ARC submission shows this otherwise nice Twin Huey painted green ( http://www.arcair.com/Gal1/701-800/gal735-UH-1N-Chirico/00.shtm ), which is totally wrong. Shame on Italeri! Rod.
