kg4kpg
Saw this pic online and really wanted to build it. Fortunately there were decals for it so I sourced a kit and decals. As evident by the pic, it’s very weathered. My skills aren’t high but have it a try. I didn’t use heavy coats of paint at it looks faded in several areas. I used a thin pencil to highlight panel lines, smeared and rubbed it in, and got some of the dirty look. I brushed a flat full coat that helped spread the pencil elsewhere. Picked up a buddy pod from another modeler to finish it up.
Trojan Thunder
Nicely done, weather looks nice.
SQLModeller
Very nice! I like it when they look dirty! I built the same model and went for the grey top, white underside look. Now want to do another but like this in the low-vis scheme.
Dutch
Yes, nice effect. I haven't tried the dirty look yet, but will do so on some of my future naval aircraft builds. Most Air Force aircraft tend to be cleaner, while carrier aircraft are the dirtiest.
Da SWO
Sweet. I need to learn how to do weathering effects.
A-10 LOADER
Nice, those are the exact same markings I'll be using for my 1/48th scale build I'm currently working on. Steve Edited May 3, 2020 by A-10 LOADER
