EDIT: Okay. First image is the image added via the "Other Media ---> Insert Image from URL" option. Second link is the full Flickr link. Third link is the relevant bits in IMG tags. Looks like the software really only like the first way. I can't quite understand why the forum software is fine with the copy-pasted old post including pics with full Flickr links, but not with the new image. Mind you, it should "know" the image and associated link as I posted that in Display Case and it worked fine there when added via "Other Media".

Would be nice if the image tags would support http and not exclusively https.

these are images and the "s" is overrated for simple images IMHO.

 

When you link an image from a non secure http, you get this message:

The link could not be embedded because only https URLs are allowed.

edit: actually, eventhough the site may not be https - just adding the s anyway does the trick.

Sorry for the trouble, seems to be working anyway 🙂
