  • Rotorman changed the title to H. 34 Choctaw.

Back on the H.34. Worked on the tailwheel and the tail rotor shaft. i need to add details inside the tail since some of it might be seen through the openings. the lack of instructions on where to put the parts for gluing in some area are tricky to say the least.   I am  changing this version to a Seabat sub hunting helicopter, so the Huskie is no longer part of the build.

Since there is so much negative space inside the tailboom i added the ribs. I am also working on the tail rotor 45 degree gearbox.  Very little will be seen once the mesh are added but i believe it is necessary to add the details.

I am doing the Wessex with a nose conversion i produced to do a H.34 from  Fly Model in 1/32.

Id watch Gino's build on the H.34. He's opening the door for us on this one.

It appears someone else is working on the H.34 nose as well. I dont know what scale and for what kit but the h.34 is getting some interest for sure. This look like an open cowling version.

The interior ribs took a while to finish. Will add more details. Anyone has photos of the windows from the inside. I see some helos without glass. I saw an German h.34 with a side door as well as cabin sliding door. Did US h.34s had that door too?

Looking good.  Why did you not go with the kit longerons and stringers?  They look pretty nice to me.

Also, as far as I have seen, US versions only had the sliding door on the starboard side.
