Whiskey
I'm not a proponent of saying "Happy" Memorial Day so I won't say it. As it is supposed to be a time of remembrance, solemnity, and humbleness, among others, I will just say that I wish everyone a good day today on this holiday. We've been rained out here so no BBQs or outdoor activities normally associated with May 25th.
11bee
Well put Whiskey. Not a big fan of "Happy Memorial Day" any more than the way over used "Thank you for your service". Hope everyone has a good safe day with family and friends (with appropriate social distancing of course) and takes a minute to remember those who gave all. Had my cookout with wife and daughters yesterday, it's overcast and chilly up here in MA today. Cool dog by the way. Here is how mine spent some of yesterday:

habu2
NASCAR did a tribute to our veterans and troops last night during the race at Charlotte when they pulled all drivers into the pits mid-race, shut off their engines and had a moment of silence in remembrance. Each driver also chose a fallen military member and had their name displayed on their car during the race. . Edited May 25, 2020 by habu2

Darren Roberts
I just learned that we observe a moment (one minute) of silence at 3:00 local time. I had never heard of that. I feel bad for not knowing that sooner. I'll be observing that today, though. Edited May 25, 2020 by Darren Roberts
