You can try FS 36076, engine gray, if you can find it.

Give the True North paint a try. I purchased a test bottle of FS 36231, Dark Gull Gray, and it sprayed very nice.

For lacquers, Mr Paint or Hataka. Getting 36170 right is a tough one as it's kind of two-colors-in-one.  36076 is a close start but only for the darker appearance, not the shiny metallic one.  Hataka's just looks silver metallic to me. I haven't tried MRP yet, they have both the color and the Have Glass overcoat.

Thanks, MRP will be my second choice, really like what I've read/heard/learned.

Will True North work with regular MM airbrush enamel for thinning?

I used enamel reducer to thin mine.

I also use Mr. Color Leveling Thinner to thin my MM enamels as well without any issues.

...is that a yes? lol ...I ask because MM enamel thinner is what I have and use....

I can say this does work fine, as I did a week ago with no ill effects

Seems I am late to the party 🙂

hello,

I know the old painting scheme, the one with the RAM panels in a lighter color, the main body color is FS36170

just wondering, for the new painting scheme, the RAM panel in the similar color with the main body color, is the main body color still FS36170? by looking at photo I feel it's a little bit darker, not sure if that is because of the light of something, just want to make sure.

Cheers
