goondman
I cant find mr leveling thinner anywhere. Either OOS or back ordered. I bought a bottle of tamiya lacquer thinner instead,... Do you think if i add tamiya retarder i can get the same gloss finish as with mr leveling thinner? Incidentally, i cant find tamiya lacqer thinner retarder type in US. Thanks! KenM
I'm guessing it should work but you have only given half of the info need to know what paint you are using to give a definitive answer Ken

Sorry, Tamiya acrylic. X-1 gloss black to be exact
ElectroSoldier
I often use Tamiya acrylics too. The lacquer thinners will be fine, no problem, but Ive never actually tried to put the retarder into the lacquer thinner, I either use the thinner with the retarder already in or just put it into X-20A thinners. I dont see why it wouldnt work, I would imagine the lacquer thinners with retarder are just the lacquer thinners with the retarder put into it at the factory.
