dai phan
Hi all, On my T33 ( see in WIP), the front landing gear calls for 2 lights. The kit provides clear parts to be installed over the concave round shape domes. I find these clear parts do not fit well and the Elmers glue used is too cloudy. I am tempted to use the Testors canopy glue that often used in making airliners windows. Does anyone have any techniques/materials to make these glass covers? The Testors glue is very difficult if not impossible to remove when dried so I don't want to make them and realized they are not good enough. phantom
Dont know if its "right", but what I do is paint the area where the clear plastic goes in chrome silver. Then I use regular old Testors tube glue to secure the clear plastic. Works for me.
Napalmakita
Elmers makes a clear glue that dries...well, clear. It doesn't have any milky tint. Gorilla glue has a clear epoxy tube, I picked one up online for about 7 bucks.
Bell209
Most PVA glues dry clear. You can use Future or Microscale's Kristal Klear, too.
