Da SWO
Does anyone make troop seats (side and center aisle) for a 1/72nd C-130? Likewise any after market crew seats?
ReccePhreak
The closest anybody came to a 1/72 C-130 detailed interior is the Flightpath C-130 Hercules Detail Set (FP-72-103A). It doesn't do all the cargo bay seats, only a few. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/flightpath-fp-72-103a-c-130-hercules-detail-set--176962 https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/FHP72101?result-token=vX4QO There is also the Eduard C-130 Interior PE set, seatbelt set & cargo floor set: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED73285?result-token=vX4QO https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED73299?result-token=vX4QO https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED72470?result-token=vX4QO Or, you could get the Eduard BIG-ED set: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/EBIG7235?result-token=vX4QO You can look on the Eduard site, for downloadable PDF instructions, to see what's included. ikar
I wish that that was available when I did my last couple Herks. Back then I had to make everything myself.
ChesshireCat
I've never seen a C130 with a center row of seats! New one on me, and I rode in several. The canvas side seats would be fairly easy to scratch build, but the five point harness might be the tipping point! gary

Was scared to death with all that noise going on back there! I actually kissed the concrete runway in Chu Lai when we landed. vowed I'd never fly in one of them again, and six weeks later I'm headed to Phu Bai in the middle of the monsoon. Told the first sargent that this better turn out well, or we're gonna end this right after we get outta this contraption. Flight was just fine in the misty rain, but things went bad thirty seconds after we touched down. Got outta there with the plane looking like Fearless Fosdick in a gun battle! Between all the holes and the messed up ramp; I imagine it spent a lot of time in the body and fender shop<g>! Three weeks later, and I gotta go back to Cam Rhon to sign my pay records. We drive up to Chu Lai and they have a plane leaving in twenty minutes. You guessed it, a C130! We got into a knock down drag out brawl on the runway. I ended up in a converted DC3, and it's still the best flight I ever was on (except for the smell). I flew back on a C123, and never balked about a C130 again. A week or so later I watched that same C123 fly strait into the side of a mountain. Just wasn't my time. gary

Gary F
Gary, when did you see the 123 go into the mountain? Was it shortly after takeoff from Tan San Nhut?
Cubs2jets
There are no mountains in the immediate vicinity of Tan Son Nhut. C2j Edited July 25, 2020 by Cubs2jets

RAAF C-130s were/are often fitted with the centre seats up to three sections back from the FS245 bulkhead when troops and cargo are carried. There are so many variations of C-130 interior you could set up, it's not funny and most are configurable in-flight (I've re-rigged a few en-route to the next task in my time). At least you can now buy ready-made seating in 1/72 scale for it here. Edited July 25, 2020 by Bell209
