Revel-Germany Luftwaffe “What-ifs”

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a few kits of Revell Germany’s Luftwaffe “What Ifs” that were put out about ten years ago. I have the Horton flying wing, I also recall an upgraded ME-262 with extra weaponry and a Focke-Wulf jet, not the swept wing jet done by a few companies. Can anyone help me with a complete list? I have checked their website, several dealers, and several hobby stores, no luck. Please post here of via a PM. Many thanks in advance.

I can't help much with that As I have never given the subject much attention.  However here's a shot of one I took at one of our Modelpaloozas:

What you could do with the Horten is make it look like it does at the Smithsonian, or build a lineage starting with that and going through the Northrup single seat  wing, the B-35 , B-49, and the B-2, all in the same scale.  It would be a good pgogression display.  From what I heard when it came time to build the B-2 they went to the museum and studied the Horten.

Off the top of my head:

Arado E 555

Focke Wulf TL Flitzer

Focke Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein

Arado Ar 240C night-fighter (I think this one is kinda a semi-what-if)

Blohm&Voss BV P-194

Messerschmitt P.1099

Messerschmitt P.1099 B/I "heavy armour"

Messerschmitt P.1101 night-fighter

Horten IX/Go 229

There were also some reboxes of Dragon kits:

Arado Ar 234C w/ Heinkel Julia

Mistel 5 - He 162 w/ Arado E 377 flying bomb

All of those are in 1/72.

There was also a Lippisch P.13 in 1/48.
