Vince Maddux
Since we are doing odd and favorite threads how about your favorite trainer. Something different for the "Fighter Mafia" My top three: t-37 T-6 Yak-

Bo105flyer
Hughes Aircraft TH-55A Osage, only because I learned to fly helicopters in one while in the Army a long time ago. Its ugly but it has a place in my heart and I agree with Habu2 on the T-38. Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA
Flyboyf18
My three would be; 1. CT-134 (Beech Sundowner) have 3 solo trips 2. CT-114 yes the Snowbirds a/c, never got to solo but have a lot of trips in them!! 3. CH-136 the Bell Jetranger, my boss in Cool Pool got bored and decided to teach me (Navigator) to hover; only took 3 trips!! I would have too say the F-5/T-38 are close in 4 and 5 spots! Mfezi
I always loved the Harvard. Our Air Force (SAAF) used them as trainers until 1995. Just before their retirement, they did a 55 aircraft fly-past - something you won't easily forget. Photo credit to John Miller: http://www.theharvard.co.za/the-saaf I have had the pleasure of flying along for aerobatics in the Pilatus PC-7 MkII a few times - the aircraft that replaced the Harvard in the SAAF - great modern aircraft but not quite the classic that the Harvard was. Cajun21
For me it's the T-34 Mentor and the T-33. Flew both in flight training. Cheers Itch
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Cessna 152 is what I trained in, so that's got a place in my heart. But for all-out sexiness and desirability, T-38 all the way!! TA-4 is next. 🙂

graves_09
T-38? No way. No gas and its always trying to kill you. T-6 all the way! Maneuverable. Spins like a champ, good cockpit visibility, and lots of Ps!
Gary F
Always liked the TC-4C.
Vince Maddux
I didn't think about the C172 Skyhawk and the Cessna 150! I have flown both several times although I never went for my pilots license. They where easy a lots of fun to fly.
ikar
A bit large for a trainer, it was used to train navigators. Although basically a fighter, these were contracted to pull dart tows at Kadena. This was cheaper and also released the F-4s from South Korea from that job.
