louie Posted August 5, 2020 Share Posted August 5, 2020 i know it's here somewhere but i cant find it. the technique of taping off the bottom of an intake, pouring in latex house paint, then untaping. Bill Staudt Posted August 5, 2020 Share Posted August 5, 2020 You fill the entire length of the intake, then untape to let the excess flow out the back end of the intake. it doesn't have to sit, the tape just hold the paint when you pour it in. I've found exterior latex to be a little thicker and work better. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Also, the second time I used the tape to continue the tube vs. just taping it off after the first one had a lip, although I can't imagine anyone could ever see that.
