Allan31
This was done for a Group Build at another site years ago but thought you might enjoy. With a little effort, the flawed kit can be corrected to something presentable. This was all done before Moebius re-issued the Aurora kit. And that kit, even by todays standards is pretty good. I studied movie stills and photos of the movie model and figured there were three main faults to correct. The humpy engine nacelle with missing vanes, the too tall windows and the too flat nose. Sanded, primed and painted an ultra light gray, I drew on all the panel lines with pencil. Then painted two more slightly darker grays following photos. Aftermarket decals, airbrush weathering, rear probes are sewing needles and a base. Having watched the movie dozens of times in my life, I'm glad I finally have the Orion sitting in the Rocket Garden. Edited August 20, 2020 by Allan31
