1/48 Eduard P-39Q

This is one of the current builds I am working. It is Eduard's P-39Q weekdn edition and includes PE and masks. So far it is going together nicely. I have pained the cockpit and interior parts green as well as the wheels and props black. I am focusing on a commission build so work on this as well as the others is a little slow right now.

slowly poking away at this....I have been focused on my large scale Twin Otter project for the last few months..

But I have some progress to show you, I have the cockpit assembled and painted

since these were taken, I have glued the fuselage together and have been working on seams.

Some more progress on this one. I have the basic assembly done and it is ready for paint. Not pictured here is it with full primer. 

 

I am not a fan of these vinyl masks..they keep curling up on the edges and make it hard to paint. Next up will be some salt weathering on the wings to show the long, hard life these had as trainers.

some minor progress. I have been plugging away on some of the smaller things that need to be done and I hope to have this finished in a week or so. Below are picture sf the wing walks, exhausts and drop tank.
