Argentinian A-4Q "Armada" Skyhawk in "dazzle camo"?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any resources or better pictures of the argentinian A-4Q that was painted with a sort of "dazzle camo"?

Can be seen here in the centre:

Just googled A-4Q 3-A-309

There is one photo but it's black & white in the book titled Skyhawks Over the South Atlantic by Santiago Rivas.

Apparently it was test camo towards the end of the war but this aircraft never saw action in the war because it was under maintenance.

A rough 'n ready internet translation of this page (https://www.taringa.net/+apuntes_y_monografias/douglas-a-4q-en-la-armada-argentina_13j8kc) says "In September 1982 this strange scheme consisting of a light brown base with a dark brown mottling was tested. As far as it is known, only the 3-A-309 was painted in this way and subjected to evaluation tests, finally this camouflage was not adopted".

And here's a fellow modeller's take on the same aircraft: https://maquetas.mforos.com/353330/11136403-a4-q-3-a-309-atigrado-1-48/
