RC boater Bill
I have built three of the Sweet FM-2 Wildcats and six Avengers to go aboard my 1/144 scale scratchbuild of the USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60), ca. June 1944, when U-505 was captured. The Avengers are a mix of (rather crude) Minicraft kits and the Much better detailed F-Toys kits. The Minicraft Avengers have no interior at all, so I scratched some simple seats and such out of thin sheet styrene. I cut the wings on one of them so I could fold them and attach the plane to the forward elevator. The elevator is motorized and moves up and done. (Video link here: ) So for the purposes of this forum, let’s call it “Nine planes on a very elaborate display base”......
