RodRedline
What the heck is up with the seats in my B-25 kit? The seats look like these: That pic is from an IPMS review of some Eduard photoetched seats, but the plastic ones in my Airfix kit look similar. My question is, did the real seats look like that? If so, how in the world would they be designed that way? How do you sit on that thing during a 5 hour combat mission? Thanks in advance for any help.
southwestforests
Edit: It also appears not odd for some B-25 versions and some mission types to be flown without a copilot. Playing in Google found this with some information that different versions had different seats, https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/b25-mitchell-seats.42581/ Various photos of museum, vintage, and preserved B-25s found via image search supports that. Note also that parachutes and seat cushions would fill the metal frame, Edited November 3, 2020 by southwestforests
