KEB
I'm building my 1/48 MiG-31 and I have question concerning the color of the landing gear, is there a reference for such colors of Russian Aircraft if not what paint have you guys used to closely match it? It appears to me in most photos to be a light gray/green color. Thanks everyone!
Sysxii
MRP-49 Light Grey-Blue is what I used for my AMK MiG-31. It is described as "Russian aircraft cockpit and wheel wells from 1960 to the present." It is a very good match to the real thing.
Sebastijan
MRP-49 is too dark for the MiG-31 landing gears. Not sure which paints are you using but I'd just pick a grey, that is slightly lighter from the paint you will be using for the airframe.
Berkut
It is a light grey color and personally i find it to have a slightly bluish tint too. I used Vallejo pale greyblue on my build, it is lighter in real life than what vallejo's site suggests and to my eyes it was pretty much bang on.
