Hi guys!  I'd say a good 99.99% of my builds are aircraft kits.  Now I'm building the Revell Titanic for my 13 year old daughter.  It's the venerable 1/570 scale kit.  So here's my question:

What would be the best way to paint the deck tan horizontal surfaces such as the deck in relation to the white vertical surfaces such as the walls of the ship?  Do you airbrush one color, do some serious masking, then airbrush the other color?  The decks and structures are all molded as one as opposed to being separate entities.  As you can tell, I am definitely not a ship builder!  I need help!  LOL!

Thank you all in advance,

Eric

Hi Eric,

While I have not built a Titanic or any other civilian ships for that matter, I usually paint the vertical surfaces first then mask them off and then paint the decks.

After painting the decks and vertical surfaces I usually go back and paint any deck details such as the bits, bights, anchor runs etc with a small paint brush.
