Believe he had siblings though, as I recall him discussing nieces and nephews. Some of his stuff ended up with Air Graphic Models... the Milstar dome and the RC-135 cheeks for sure. ReccePhreak
I am tempted to order one of the RC-135W Rivet joint "cheek sensor" sets, but I would also have to scratchbuild MANY additional antennas and other bulges, in order to make a correct model. Based on using just available photos, that will definitely be problematic. I doubt that accurate drawings are "available" anywhere. At least I do have the later bigger engine nacelles, from a KC-135R kit.
J.C. Bahr
That's the one thing you can count on with 55th jets... constant change! 😄 Almost have to have period photos of a certain airframe and what timeframe you want to build it in. Those cheeks have definitely gained a few changes since the time I made them.

That's also probably one of the reasons the USAF changed to digital Flight Manuals and Maintenance Manuals, instead of paper ones. Easier to update & distribute. I did the casting for him, so they were my "masters" that I made to pour multiple parts at once. I'm going to be sellling off all of my leftover SB parts, including the masters. If you need a set of nuke shapes, let me know what you're looking for. I also have some cheek sensors for the C-130. Are you going to make a list with the items you still have? I could use your 1/48 F-14 Tomcat NACA Gun Vent set for the old Monogram kit.
