Nothing from the proposal made it on the jets. I don’t remember them doing anything to the jets to mark the event. Maybe for the 70th or 75th anniversary.... brian

CVW-1 had 2 (VFA-11 and VFA-211) previously.

Solo
Why holes under the ECS pipes are oval both in Hasegawa and Meng, while in real aircraft are just rounded?

The MENG kit appears to be nothing more than a clone of the Hasegawa kit with more pronounced details. 55 minutes ago, Solo said: Why holes under the ECS pipes are oval both in Hasegawa and Meng, while in real aircraft are just rounded? Simply put, the designers of the kits made them oval and not round.

Waiting for review.
Napalmakita
The detail of things no one will ever see again or the accuracy of dimensions are fun conversations...but none of that matters unless it's fun to put together...a good fit and smooth build is where the rubber meets the road for me...for me. I didn't notice the spine as much as I noticed the two access panels between the rudders. The kit(s) show different port/stbd shaped panels while the photo shows symmetrical panels. This could just be a Block variation, I'm not a Hornet expert...
