I can also “solve this issue” by designing the label and putting some unreadably small random text on it. I am actually interested in finding out the exact text on the label. I personally have not seen any grounding points on a tip tank (although it does sound reasonable to place them there) so I am a bit skeptical about the RC markings. KursadA
There is a maintenance manual on Ebay but I will only consider buying it if the curiosity becomes unbearable.
habu2
Is that price on the RC markings real ??? 😳😳😳
Ghostbase
I took these photos of F-89J 53-2517 at Chino in 1993. They aren't much help, sorry. Michael

Lear 35 has bonding/grounding plugs in the tip tank, as does the MU-2. i would make the guess that the outer ones are a “tressel/support here” type marking and the middle one is a “bonding point below” or something. Hopefully you can find the answer!!
Spruemeister
There are three fuel filler ports on top of each tank, according to the eBay maintenance manual excerpt, so there’s no way to just mount a tank on either wing tip. They have to be handed left and right. Rick L.
Dutch
Kursad, From your original post photos, I would have said that the outer two markings are the same and may have had something to do with trestling the tank. However, the PrimePortal photos clearly show an earth ground yellow circle in those locations. The standard grounding points are marked according T.O. 1-1-4 (1978) as noted below. The symbols and warnings are for standard aircraft servicing, covered in Section IV, of AF T.O. 1-1-4 (1964) or Appendix E of T.O. 1-1-4 (1978). Therefore, I suggest that the black placard with "downward arrow" symbol may in fact be the grounding symbol with the words: AIRCRAFT CAUTION EARTH GROUNDING OR GROUND AIRCRAFT HERE HERE Likewise, the center warning label and symbol appears to be a diamond, or in one photo a diamond with superimposed "X", appearing as four smaller diamonds. While there is no standard aircraft service symbol for a diamond in T.O. 1-1-4 (1964 or 1978), the closest symbol is a fuel filler port symbol, a four-pointed star. However, this does not make sense as the fuel filler caps are located on the top of the tank. Your last photo posted is a little clearer and suggests the symbol to be an arrow pointing down. As to the wording, I cannot suss it out, except the word above the arrow appears to be "HERE." Edited November 4, 2024 by Dutch proper terms
Dutch
Upon further inspection of the prime portal photos, the center point also appears to be a grounding port with a red/green aircraft navigation light mounted at or near it. Still no clue as to the words. In the case of the jets noted by Kursad, the navigation light is mounted behind and slightly lower than the prime portal example. Three of the photos show the black placard painted above or even with the light and one shows it painted below the light. So it may be another ground warning, or something else. The CyberModeler photo reference section is not much help, though it does have some very interesting markings. Edited November 4, 2024 by Dutch

Dutch
I found this interesting photo of an Iowa ANG F-89D/J which shows the Ground marking included within the fore and aft markings. I am still unsure of the wording. Close-up of the tank markings showing circle ground markings within the black rectangle. Edited November 6, 2024 by Dutch
