ckribs
Good afternoon all. My youngest son is very interested in Navy aircraft after learning that his grandfather served in the Navy during Vietnam. Due to the Covid lock down I have been working on my WWII bombers having finished a B-25, B-17, B-24 and currently working on the B-29 (wow what a big kit) Where would a good starting point be? He is really liking the F-14 and the F-18. What kits would yall suggest?
ElectroSoldier
Anything Tamiya that sparks his/her interest because they all go together so well, and some of the classic kits are quite cheap now.
Scooby
A good starter kit cost wise, modern tooling, of a modern jet, for a junior modeler? I’d recommend a 1/48 Revell Super Hornet.
JackMan
Quote He is really liking the F-14 Get him to watch "The Final Countdown". Then buy him the Tamiya F-14A with the Jolly Rogers scheme: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10411171

Where, you could use their daily coupon code for 40% off the retail price!

Falconxlvi
If he’s built a model or two before, then definitely the Tamiya F-14. If it’s his first ever attempt, maybe something cheaper. Steve
