gb_madcat_sl
F-16C Block 52 with AIM-7 Sparrows. Captive carry round but unusual nonetheless. Although RSAF Vipers are very much AMRAAM capable, the DOD apparently didn't ship them to the nation as it could have started an arms race in Southeast Asia.
jenshb
Strange...surely the AMRAAM is a much more capable missile than the AIM-7?
ST0RM
A bit more of note. Their jets have the older style IFF antennas on the nose, like what the F-16 ADF had. And that is an CAP-9P on the wingtip. Seems like they get really old tech all around. Edited January 9, 2021 by ST0RM

RSAF originally got "Block 15" jets even though they were really Block 32s with the smaller vertical tail base from the Block 15s. It's all in how the US wanted the Pacific rim nations (China) to view the transaction i.e. the US didn't sell RSAF the "good" (latest) stuff.
mrvark
RSAF has had AIM-120s since 2008: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-120_AMRAAM#Foreign_sales
