jefferson
Hello to all IAF/IDF specialists ! I am scale modeller from Belgrade, Serbia and mainly interested in early jet aviation. Now I am preparing to start Special Hobby Meteor T.7 in IDF camouflage paint sheme. Researching available resources, I find interesting photo (attached) in book SAM Camouflage and markings 003 - Israel AF 1948-1967, page 60, depicting Meteor T.7 No.17 and Meteor T.7,5 No.21. Unfortunately, unit badges on vertical tail surfaces of both planes are unknown to me and not similar to any available IDF unit badge pictures. According to available sources, at that time both planes are in 110 Sqn inventory with snake names painted on front fuselage, and badges are something like an animal similar to flying squirrel or desert rat on triangular field. I hope somebody can help about identification of these badges, or at least photo in better resolution, also possible colors of badges. Regards.
