KursadA
The C-130J scheme will not fill a 1/72 sheet by itself. Even though most of the markings are common, I do not want to include any of the three Fat Albert variations I already covered in CD72051. So I decided to make this sheet to celebrate both the first and last Fat Alberts: In addition to markings for the latest C-130J (BuNo 170000), it will also have markings for the first Fat Albert, KC-130F BuNo. 150690. You will be able to build either option - or perhaps even both if you can source the national insignia elsewhere. Let me know what you think. And yes, these are coming in 1/144 as well - most like a combo sheet covering all the Fat Albert options I included in CD72051 and this new sheet (CD72123). Trojan Thunder
What about the fill in aircraft, there was at least one TPS scheme C-130 with black Blue Angels markings while Fat Albert was in deeper maintenance which was a KC-130F BuNo 148893 know as ‘Ernie’. https://www.airliners.net/search?registrationActual=148893&sortBy=dateAccepted&sortOrder=desc&perPage=36&display=card 149806 was also in TPS markings working for the Blue Angels. https://www.airhistory.net/photo/93778/149806 which went on to be painted in full colours https://www.airhistory.net/registration/149806 There was also 149791 in grey/white scheme https://www.airliners.net/search?registrationActual=149791&display=card Edited February 4, 2021 by Trojan Thunder

Dutch
Any news on the new Fat Albert decals? I have a Minicraft 1/144 C-130J kit just waiting for this. Edited August 13, 2021 by Dutch
Dutch
A little motivation for today! KC-130F 150690 Blue Angels at RAF Bentwaters Armed Forces Day, 23 May 1973.
KursadA
Almost done with these - but with different sheets for legacy and current Fat Alberts. Stay tuned - next two months are super busy with 15 new releases (including reprints) so I may not have time to make profiles, but they will be coming in early 2022. Wolfman_63
Will you be reprinting the 1/48 Scale Fat Albert decal set? Been looking for 6 months and cannot locate any sets.
ElectroSoldier
How about the all white or white over grey versions? Ive got an old sheet with the white version on it. If you make it then I can make some money out of it and replace it with your sheet )) Edited March 13, 2022 by ElectroSoldier
Geo114
Will you be making a 1:48 run for the J model? I have one I am looking to make into Fat Albert.

KursadA
CD72123 will be coming in January - a 1/144 version is coming in a couple months after that. This will work on both Zvezda and Italeri kits.
eraucubsfan
Hell yeah! Fat Albert is the short body "J" correct? I want to use the Zvezda kit, I think there short J is out soon Edited November 15, 2022 by eraucubsfan
Dutch
Woohoo! @eraucubsfan yes Zvezda is releasing the 1/72 short body C-130J model soon. Or just buy a short body H and long body J and swap the engines. That way you will have a short body J and a long body C-130H-30, KC-130T-30 or L-100-30. I can't wait for the 1/144 release. ElectroSoldier
Great but Ive got an old decal sheet that has the white support aircraft. Why does nobody ever do that one?
