Dan 88
Just learned that the museum here at Miramar is set to close based upon lack of funding. I grew up going to this museum and am saddened a huge part of the San Diego military experience is going away. Linked below is a petition to help possibly reverse the decision as well as a Go Fund Me link. Consider signing and getting your voice heard to the right folks who could keep this around for future generations to enjoy. https://www.change.org/p/save-the-flying-leatherneck-aviation-museum?recruiter=836730933&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=psf_combo_share_abi&utm_term=signature_receipt&recruited_by_id=d93c8220-cf89-11e7-b83b-dda6381ec16f&utm_content=fht-27474227-en-us%3A6 🍻
Ken Cartwright
Wow, that's really sad news! I have to admit that I don't visit it very often, but I live near it and drive by all the time (I did it more often before COVID). Thanks for the info!
Charlie D.
That sucks. They have a nice collection. If they close it I hope those planes find new homes. Some rare types there.
Scooby
Visited it dozens of times and I’m in Canada. Sad to see it go.
Napalmakita
Move them inside Target or Wal Mart...no chance those will ever close down.
