KursadA Posted November 16, 2021 Author Share Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) Whoa - it looks like one of the State Dept CH-46s that were left behind in Afghanistan was one of the helicopters that participated in the evacuation of the US Embassy in Saigon? I am not sure how they missed this detail - if they had to choose one airframe to destroy during the evacuation, that had to be this one. Let's hope it does not end up in a Moscow museum with a plaque that reminds everyone what it is. Does anyone know what its markings looked like in 1975?
