Dutch Posted May 3, 2021 Share Posted May 3, 2021 (edited) The text looks to be stencil text and says: UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY The bird is the USAFA mascot, a gray falcon, facing forward, wings stretched up & out, tail spread, head down, looking from a rear 3/4 view. Here are a few examples from USAFA patches and pennants. However, these are from the front and the falcon is clutching two lightning bolts. I was stationed at the Academy for 10 years and had no idea that the USAFA operated TB-25's or T-33's. I am just speculating that these were when they were operating out of Lowry AFB in Denver while the Academy was being built in Colorado Springs.
