parche
For those of you who didn't know, I am a submariner and for the last 2 1/2 years I have been in command of my own boat. Today was my change of command to give her up. I can't imagine any more exciting or challenging job. Now, I need to get to work on some models after giving time back to the wife and kids. Cheers, Dave
janman
This of course begs a question: What kind of submarine? Or is it classified? 🙂 Happy modeling!
P-38 guy
I'm sure that is a hard moment to a very rewarding job. Will you get a chance to command another boat or will you be leaving the service? Thank you for you service! Mike

ikar
Since you like subs maybe a visit to Nautilus Drydocks would be interesting. He has models of several types of subs. Most are of a good size and if wanted can be used in the water. I have a large model of the Sequest which is somewhat over 3 feet, and Disney's Nautilus sits at about 18 inches. He lso has a online gettogether about every month.

Collin
If you end up in DC, we have some good clubs in the area. Congrats on the FINEX of your CMD tour and having a band playing when you walked out the door. As you know from your previous tours...flying or driving a desk isn’t as much fun, so hopefully your next tour lands you with good people and boss.
