1/48 Tamiya CANADIAN Tomcat, not a what if. Really a Canadian Tomcat.

Have the bang things built. Wont be using the Phoenix missiles or 4 Sparrows on this plane, so they are saved for the next Hasegawa Tomcat. The pilot has arm patches for VF-124. Have no idea if the real pilot from 1977 was from there or not, but seemed like a good guess.

The RIO is a ride along Voodoo pilot from 409 squadron out of CFB Comox. Made him a Captain.

Great looking build! How long was that - less than a month? I'm a month into my Tamiya D, and I'm still in paint phase.

Yes, I had to work a lot and teach on my days off, add the spring yard work and I have been very busy.

Beautiful work as always, phantom!  I've always envied your speed.   Hey, what's that Rolls Royce engine (or is it a GE), doing there?  : )

Thanks. That was a "green" what if Tomcat build. Engines off retired Challenger semi civi executive transports.

Thanks, Something like Warbird decals. Sheet came with full markings and the Tomcat patch for two models. Still have enough for another build.
