11bee
Starting the initial research for converting the KH MH-60S to an Army OIF UH-60L. I don't believe the KH kit offers the dual M240's and their door mounts, so I was thinking about using the very nice looking Live Resin sets. https://live-resin.com/h-w/182-lre35169-uh60-black-hawk-window-m240h-mount-for-academy-2192-1-35-uh-60l-black-hawk,-italeri-6430-1-35-uh-60a-l-black-hawk-models.html Anyone use this set? Any feedback on it would be appreciated. I've seen pics of M240's fitted with the brass collector underneath but also many pics show this removed. What would be accurate for a 2007 time period OIF Blackhawk? Same question applies to any optics or sighting gear. Thanks in advance, John
Clinstone
That should work. No optics or anything on the weapon since gunners walk the rounds onto the target rather than "aiming" per se. The only accessory would be a PEQ-2 or PEQ-15 on the side of the forward rail assembly.
HeavyArty
That is the correct set and is a great set. The mount and guns look awesome. Either way is correct for the shell bag. It is really up t unit SOP. Edited June 18, 2021 by HeavyArty
11bee
Thanks for the good info guys. Where does one buy Live Resin bits? Sprue Brothers doesn't carry this particular set, only ones I could find were from an E-bay seller out of Hong Kong. Any other options?
HeavyArty
You can order them directly from Live-Resin at their website: https://models-hobby.com/
Dave Williams
If Sprue Brothers doesn’t have a Live Resin set I want in stock, I usually get it off eBay. Don’t think SB gets restocks often.
11bee
Thanks for the info, looks like they have them at https://models-hobby.com/ These kits seem surprisingly cheap, only around $9/ea. Anyone ever had any issues ordering from these folks? Edited June 19, 2021 by 11bee

hawkwrench
Models-hobby.com is actually in the Russia area. Yaroslav is the main guy and I've never had any issues from him and his website. Should be good to go! Tim
